Additionally, offline matches against computer opponents are available.

Furthermore, Shogi Wars offers a ranking system (dan/kyu) through which players can apply for a Menjo (dan diploma) ranging from 6 dan to 5 kyu. This Menjo is officially recognized by the Japan Shogi Association.
